At this point, Katehh Studio felt she needed more textile and embroidery skills, and worked part-time for four years at college, and explored the design process, printing techniques, mechanical embroidery, ceramics, glass, wood and metal. The education also led to training at the affluent university, where she then taught textile and design at Desidro and Chester for five years. At the end of her college years, Kate discovered her favorite material, METAL, and took over a new medium from fabric and stitches! Technology and products were tested, and a one-day seminar was held at the Ruthin Craft Center in 2000, where the tin artist and sculptor Lucy Casson introduced Kate to a new material.
